Squatch Says
Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
The short version: Squatch Says doesn't collect any information about you. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Your riders, tricks and game history stay on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. We can't see any of it.
What the app stores
To run your games, Squatch Says saves the following on your device:
- Riders you add: name, avatar emoji, color and stance.
- Games: who played, the tricks called, who landed or missed, letters, the date and an optional spot name you type in.
- Custom tricks you add and which built-in tricks you've turned off.
- App settings, such as whether you ride a skateboard or snowboard and whether haptics are on.
Rider names are whatever you type. They don't need to be real names, and they're never sent to us.
iCloud sync
If you're signed in to iCloud, the app syncs this data between your own devices through Apple's CloudKit, using the private database in your iCloud account. That data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy and isn't accessible to us or to other users. You can turn sync off in Squatch Says under Settings → Your Data, or for all apps in the iOS Settings app.
What we collect
Nothing. Squatch Says doesn't include analytics, advertising or tracking code, and doesn't contact any server run by us. We don't sell or share data because we never have any.
If you choose to share crash reports and usage data with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports to us. You control that setting, not the app.
Photos
When you share a game's results card, you can choose Save Image to add it to your photo library. iOS asks for permission first. The app only adds images when you ask it to, and never reads your photos.
Deleting your data
In Squatch Says, go to Settings → Danger Zone to clear game history or erase all data. Deleting the app also removes data stored on your device. Synced data in iCloud can be removed in the iOS Settings app under your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Children
Squatch Says is suitable for all ages and doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If the app ever starts collecting data, we'll say so clearly before it happens.
